Commercial Information Circular No. 503/2009

European Union (EU)* : Imposition of a Definitive Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Certain Aluminium Foil Originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 185/2009 of 9 April 2009, the Council of the EU has published a regulation to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain aluminium foil originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China. DETAILS

  2. Salient points are set out below –
(a) Product Aluminium foil of a thickness of not less than 0.008 mm and not more than 0.018 mm, not backed, not further worked than rolled, in rolls of a width not exceeding 650 mm and of a weight exceeding 10 kg and falling within CN code ex 7607 11 19 (TARIC code 7607 11 19 10).
(b) Rate of Duty  30.0% of the net, free-at-Community-frontier price, before duty (except for three companies whose individual duty rates ranging from 6.4% to 24.2%).
(c) Effective Date 7 October 2009
(d) Duration 5 years
(e) Collection of Duty Amounts secured by way of the provisional anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of the product concerned since 9 April 2009 shall be definitively collected. The amounts secured in excess of the amount of the definitive anti-dumping duties shall be released.
