Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 48/2009 of 23 January 2009, the Undersecretariat of the Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade of Turkey (the Turkish Authority) has published a Communiqué announcing the termination of the anti-dumping (AD) proceeding on imports of cutting, chopping, mixing and grinding knives and blades for electromechanical domestic kitchen appliances with self-contained electric motor (knives and blades for electromechanical domestic kitchen appliances) originating in Hong Kong. DETAILS

  1.
  2. Turkey initiated on 15 January 2009 an AD investigation against knives and blades for electromechanical domestic kitchen appliances originating in, inter alia, Hong Kong. The investigation was initiated on the basis of a complaint lodged by AFS Bıçak ve Kalıp San. Dış. Tic. Ltd. Şti, which alleged that imports of the product concerned were being dumped, thereby causing material injury to the Turkish industry.

  3. The Turkish Authority announced via a Communiqué of 18 June 2009 that the investigation in the case had been completed. The level of imports of the product concerned originating in Hong Kong during the investigation period was found to be negligible. Consequently, the Turkish Authority decided to terminate the AD proceeding against imports from Hong Kong without taking any measure.
