European Union (EU)* : Testing Methods Pursuant to REACH

Further to Commercial Information Circulars No. 309/2008 of 4 June 2008, the European Commission (the Commission) has recently adopted a Regulation on the testing methods pursuant to REACH. Details are set out in the Commission Regulation (EC) 761/2009 (the Regulation), which can be accessed through the following link:

DETAIL

  2. The Regulation updates the testing methods for generating information on intrinsic properties of substances (i.e. physico-chemical properties, toxicity and ecotoxicity of substances) for registration purposes pursuant to REACH. The update includes changes in certain test methods and inclusion of new test methods. Details are set out in the Annexes of the Regulation.
