European Union (EU) * : Imposition of a Definitive Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Citric Acid Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 306/2008 of 3 June 2008, the Council of the EU has published a regulation to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of citric acid originating in the Mainland of China. DETAILS

  2. Salient points are set out below - 
(a) Product : Citric acid and trisodium citrate dihydrate, falling within CN codes 2918 14 00 and ex 2918 15 00 (TARIC code 2918 15 00 10).
(b) Rate of Duty : 42.7% of the net, free-at-Community-frontier price before duty (except for 8 companies whose individual duty rates range from 6.6% and 42.7%).
(c) Effective Date : 4 December 2008 
(d) Duration : 5 years
(e) Collection of
Duty
: Amounts secured by way of provisional anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of the product concerned since 4 June 2008 will be definitively collected. The amount secured in excess of the amount of the definitive duty will be released.
