European Union (EU)* : Amendments to the Exemptions from the Obligation to Register under REACH

The European Commission (the Commission) has recently adopted a Regulation to amend the lists of exemptions from the obligation to register under REACH. Details are set out in the Commission Regulation (EC) 987/2008 (the Regulation), which can be accessed through the following link:

  2. According to REACH, the Commission should carry out a review on its exemptions by 1 June 2008. Subsequent to the review, the Commission published the Regulation to amend Annexes IV and V of REACH which concerns the exemptions from the obligation to register. For details please refer to the updated versions of the Annexes attached to the Regulation.
