European Union (EU)* : Impending Expiry of Anti-dumping Measures on
Imports of Furfuryl Alcohol Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 273/2003 of 12 November 2003, the European Commission has published a notice concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of furfuryl alcohol originating in the Mainland of China. The notice can be accessed through the following link :

DETAILS

  1. Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of furfuryl alcohol originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 1 November 2003. The current rate of duty is EUR 250 per tonne (except for four companies with individual duty rates ranging from EUR 84 to EUR 160 per tonne).

  1. Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in section 2 of the notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire on 1 November 2008.
