Commercial Information Circular No. 42/2007

European Union (EU)* : Classification of Certain Goods in the Combined Nomenclature (CN)

The European Commission has adopted a Regulation concerning the classification of certain goods in its commodity classification system, the Combined Nomenclature (CN). The Regulation stipulates the CN classification of keypad membrane and inflatable plastic rings with air chambers to ensure uniform application of the CN by Member States' customs authorities. Details are set out in Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1578/2006, copy (pdf format) of which is attached to this circular for reference.
