European
Union (EU)* : Imposition of Provisional Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Ferro-silicon Originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 471/2006 of 30 November 2006, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a regulation to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of ferro-silicon originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China. The regulation can be accessed through the following link :

Ferro-silicon, falling within CN codes 7202 21 00, 7202 29 10 and 7202 29 90. |
| (b)
Rate of Duty |
: |
35.5% of the net, free-at-Community-frontier price before duty (except for 2 companies whose individual duty rates are 2.8% and 33.7%). |
| (c)
Effective Date |
: |
30 August 2007 (the duty will apply for 6 months).

| (d)
Collection of Duty |
: |
The release of the product for free circulation in the Community shall be subject to the provision of a security equivalent to the amount of the provisional duty. |
| (e)
Time Limit for Comments |
: |
Interested parties may request disclosure of the essential facts and considerations on the basis of which the regulation was adopted, make their views known in writing and apply to be heard by the Commission
within one month from 30 August 2007. |
