Commercial Information Circular No. 129/2007

European Union (EU)* : Notice Concerning Anti-dumping Measures on Imports of Certain Plastic Sacks and Bags originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 97/2007 of 21 February 2007, a notice has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union concerning the anti-dumping measures imposed on imports of certain plastic sacks and bags originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China. One of the companies subject to individual anti-dumping duty rate has informed the European Commission that the company name has changed. The reference to YANTAI LONGQUAN PACKAGING MATERIAL CO., LTD., should now be read as YANTAI LONGQUAN PLASTIC AND RUBBER PRODUCTS CO., LTD. in Annex I of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1425/2006. BACKGROUND

  1. Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain plastic sacks and bags originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 30 September 2006. The rate of duty is 28.8% of the net, free-at-Community-frontier price before duty (except for those companies listed in Article 1 of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1425/2006 where the individual duty rates range from 4.8% to 12.8% (details can be found in Commercial Information Circular No. 388/2006 of 29 September 2006)).
