Commercial Information Circular No. 61/2006

European Union (EU)*: Classification of Certain Goods in the Combined Nomenclature

The European Commission has adopted three Regulations concerning the classification of certain goods in its commodity classification system, the Combined Nomenclature (CN). The Regulations stipulate the CN classification of certain LCD colour monitors, sugars and food preparations to ensure uniform application of the CN by Member States' customs authorities. Details are set out in Commission Regulation (EC) Nos. 2171/2005, 227/2006 and 242/2006 (pdf format),  copies of which are attached to this circular for reference.
