European Union (EU)* :
Imposition of Provisional Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Chamois Leather Originating in the Mainland of China
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 228/2005 of 30 June 2005, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a regulation to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of chamois leather originating in the mainland of China. A copy of the regulation is at

| (a) Product |

Chamois leather and combination chamois leather, whether or not cut to shape, including chamois and combination chamois crust leather, falling within CN codes 4114 10 10 and 4114 10 90. |
| (b) Rate of Duty |
: |
62% of the net, free-at-Community-frontier price before duty. |
| (c) Effective Date |
: |
18 March 2006 (the duty will apply for 6 months). |
| (d) Collection of Duty |
: |
The release of the product for free circulation in the Community shall be subject to the provision of a security equivalent to the amount of the provisional duty. |
| (e) Time Limit for Comments |
: |
Interested parties may make their views known in writing and apply to be heard by the Commission
within one month from 18 March 2006. |
