Dear Sirs,
Commercial

to Regulation Setting Maximum Levels
for Certain Contaminants in Foodstuffs
Further to Commercial
Information Circular No. 72/2001 of 28 March 2001, the European Commission
has adopted two amendments to Commission Regulation (EC) No. 466/2001

with effect from 1 April 2005. Products already placed on the Community
market before that date will be exempted from the requirement. The burden
of proving when the products were placed on the market will be borne
by the food business operator. Details are set out in Commission Regulation
(EC) Nos. 123/2005 and 208/2005, copies of which are at Attachment
I (pdf format) and Attachment II
