Commercial Information Circular No. 410/2005

European Union (EU)* : Imposition of a Definitive Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Trichloroisocyanuric Acid Originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 120/2005 of  9 April 2005, the Council of the EU has published a regulation to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of trichloroisocyanuric acid originating in, inter alia, the mainland of China. A copy of the regulation is at Attachment ( pdf format) for reference. Salient points are set out below-

(a) Product : Trichloroisocyanuric acid and preparations thereof, also referred to as 'symclosene' under the international non-proprietary name (INN), and falling within CN codes ex 2933 69 80 and ex 3808 40 20 (TARIC codes 2933 69 80 70 and 3808 40 20 20).
(b) Rate of Duty : 42.6% of the net, free-at-Community-frontier price before duty (except for four companies with individual duty rates ranging from 7.3% to 40.5%).
(c) Effective Date : 8 October 2005
(d) Duration : Five years
(e)  Collection of Provisional Duty : Amounts secured by way of the provisional anti-dumping duty imposed since 9 April 2005 will be definitively collected at the rate of the definitive anti-dumping duty. Any amount secured in excess of the definitive duty rate will be released.
