European Union (EU) * : Amendment to Regulation Setting Maximum Levels for Certain Contaminants in Foodstuffs
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 72/2001 of 28 March 2001, the European Commission has adopted an amendment to Commission Regulation (EC) No. 466/2001 to lay down the maximum levels for lead, cadmium and mercury allowed in certain foodstuffs (i.e. fish, fishery products, and crustaceans). Details are set out in Commission Regulation (EC) No. 78/2005, a copy of which is attached (pdf format) to this circular for reference.
