European Union (EU)* :Imposition of a Definitive Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Sodium Cyclamate Originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 244/2003 of 25 September 2003, the Council of the EU has published a regulation to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of sodium cyclamate originating in, inter alia, the mainland of China. A copy of the regulation is at Annex (pdf format) for reference. Salient points are set out below-
| (a) | Product | : | Sodium cyclamate classified within CN code ex 2929 9000 (TARIC code 2929 90 00 10) |
| (b) | Rate of Duty | : | EUR 0.26 per kilo (except for three companies with individual duty rates ranging from EUR 0 to EUR 0.11 per kilo). |
| (c) | Effective Date | : | 12 March 2004 |
| (d) | Collection of Provisional Duty | : | The amounts secured by way of the provisional anti-dumping duty imposed since 19 September 2003 will be definitively collected. Where the definitive duties are higher than the provisional duties, only the amounts secured at the level of the provisional duties should be collected. |
