The Kingdom of Bahrain :Legalisation of Commercial Documents

The Honorary Consulate of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Hong Kong informed the Department that it has assumed the duties to legalise all commercial documents pertaining to imports into the Kingdom of Bahrain as of 1 April 2002. With effect from this date, the Bahraini authorities only accept Bahrain-related commercial documents duly legalised by the Honorary Consulate of the Kingdom of Bahrain. In respect of those commercial documents that have been legalised by other authorized organizations prior to 1 April 2002, they will continue to be accepted by the Bahraini authorities even if the relevant shipments arrive at the Kingdom of Bahrain after the said date.
