South Africa : Initiation of Anti-dumping Investigations on Blankets of Acrylic Fibre or Blankets Partially Containing Acrylic Fibre Originating in and/or Imported from Hong Kong and China
Our Department has received information that the Board on Tariffs and Trade (BTT) of South Africa intends to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of blankets of acrylic fibre or blankets partially containing acrylic fibre originating in and/or imported from Hong Kong and China. The same proceeding also applies to such imports originating in India, Korea and Turkey.
DETAILS
The BTT has accepted a petition from the domestic industry of South Africa to initiate an anti-dumping investigation into blankets of acrylic fibre or blankets partially containing acrylic fibre (tariff headings 6301 40 and 6301 90) originating in and/or imported from Hong Kong and China. The exact date of initiation of the investigation is not yet known.
Exporters and other interested parties should request and respond to a questionnaire from the BTT as soon as possible. It is noted that the time limit for exporters and other interested parties to respond is usually set at 30 days following publication of the official notice initiating an investigation.
