Commercial Information Circular No. 29/98
European Union : Imposition of Definitive Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Stainless Steel Fasteners and Parts Originating in the People's Republic of China
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 141/97 of 20 September 1997, the European Union (EU) has published a regulation in the Official Journal of the European Communities to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of stainless steel fasteners and parts originating in the People's Republic of China (PRC). Definitive duties are also imposed on imports of such product originating in India, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand. A copy of the regulation is appended to this circular for reference. Details are as follow :
| (a) Product : | Stainless steel fasteners and parts, falling within CN codes 7318 1210, 7318 1410, 7318 1530, 7318 1551, 7318 1561, 7318 1570 and 7318 1630; |
| (b) Rate of Duty : | before duty, for products originating in the PRC (except for two companies, the duties for which are 13.6% and 24.2%); and |
| (c) Effective Date : | 21 February 1998 |
