For the formulation of a new batch of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Standards, the Standardization Research Center for GBA (GBA Standardization Research Center) promulgated on 18 March 2024 the "Guidelines on the Common Needs of 'GBA Standards' in 2024", which set out the priority sectors for formulating GBA Standards and invite applications for formulating GBA Standards from the trades in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

2.For the application requirements and channels as well as list of application documents for formulating GBA Standards, please refer to the "Guidelines on Applications for 'GBA Standards'" promulgated by the GBA Standardization Research Center on 21 September 2023. Please refer to the Appendix (pdf format) for the full texts of the two guidelines (available in Chinese only) mentioned above. The relevant trades are welcome to submit applications through the GBA Standard Information Public Service Platform (GBA Standard Platform) (https://www.gbsrc.org.cn/applicationDevelopment) (available in Chinese only) or by email to the GBA Standardization Research Center (gbsrc@gdis.org.cn) in accordance with the specific requirements set out in the two guidelines, for the GBA Standardization Research Center's assessment and examination. The two channels mentioned above accept applications all year round. The proposed GBA Standards should be formulated by the joint participation of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

3.At present, a total of 183 GBA Standards have been formulated and announced. The GBA Standards are non-compulsory in nature, and the relevant trades are welcome to adopt them on a voluntary basis. The GBA Standards and related information are available on the GBA Standard Platform (https://www.gbsrc.org.cn).
