The Mainland of China: Further Simplifying the Requirement for Submission of Certificates for Imported Goods Transited through Hong Kong and Macao

The General Administration of Customs (GAC) of the People's Republic of China issued on 28 June 2017 a promulgation concerning "Further Simplifying the Requirement for Submission of Certificates for Imported Goods Transited through Hong Kong and Macao". Please refer to the Appendix (pdf format) for the notice (available in Chinese only).

2.Since 10 July 2017, for cases where the GAC has received the electronic messages of "Certificate of Non-manipulation" that are identical with the content of declarations made by the consignees or agents of imported goods ("importers"), importers are not required to submit the original of "Certificate of Non-manipulation". If the GAC has not received relevant electronic message or considers where necessary, importers have to submit the original of "Certificate of Non-manipulation".
