The Mainland of China : Notice Concerning National Standard for Food Safety "General Rule on Nutrition Labelling for Pre-packaged Food"

The Ministry of Health issued a notice concerning food safety national standard of "General Rule on Nutrition Labelling for Pre-packaged Food", which will take effect on 1 January 2013. For details, please refer to a copy of the notice (available in Chinese only) at Appendix (pdf format).

2.For details of the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Food Safety" and its implementation regulations, please refer to CIC No. 111/2009 dated 3 March 2009 and CIC No. 380/2009 dated 27 July 2009. For details of the "Administrative Measures on National Standards for Food Safety", please refer to CIC No. 521/2010 dated 15 November 2010.
