Dear Sirs,
Commercial
Information Circular No. 68/2011
The
Mainland of China : Impending Expiry of Anti-dumping Measures against
Imports of Polybutylene Terephthalate Resin (PBT) from Japan and the Taiwan
Province
The Ministry of Commerce
(MOC) issued Notice No. 101/2010 on 22 January 2011, announcing the impending
expiry of anti-dumping measures against imports of polybutylene terephthalate
resin (PBT) from Japan and the Taiwan Province. The relevant tariff code
is 3907 9900.
DETAILS
-
According to the
"Regulation on Anti-dumping", the duration of levying anti-dumping
duty can be suitably extended if a review confirms that the removal
of duty would likely cause the continuance or recurrence of injury to
the domestic industries. As such, from the date of announcement (i.e.
22 January 2011) and no later than 60 days before the expiry of the
anti-dumping measures, domestic enterprises or their representatives
may submit applications to the MOC to request a review. The applications
should include evidence that injury would be likely to continue or recur
if the duty is removed.
-
If no application
for a review is submitted in accordance with the notice nor the MOC
considers warrant initiating a review before the expiry date of the
anti-dumping measures, the anti-dumping measures against imports of
polybutylene terephthalate resin (PBT) from Japan and the Taiwan Province
will be terminated on 22 July 2011.
-
For details of
the final ruling of the subject anti-dumping cases, please refer to
CIC No. 281/2006 dated 25 July 2006.
