Commercial Information Circular No. 577/2011

The Mainland of China : Final Ruling on Countervailing Investigation Against Imports of Potato Starch from the European Union

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) issued Notice No. 54/2011 on 16 September 2011 announcing the final ruling on countervailing investigation against imports of potato starch from the European Union. The relevant tariff code is 1108 1300.

DETAILS

2.The final ruling confirmed the existence of subsidy regarding imports of potato starch from the European Union and that such subsidy had caused material injury to the domestic industry. As a result, the Mainland had decided to impose countervailing duties which range from 7.5% to 12.4% on imports of potato starch from the European Union. The countervailing measure would be in place for 5 years from 17 September 2011.
