Commercial Information Circular No. 544/2011

The Mainland of China : Enhanced Origin Management on the Import of Broiler Products or Chicken Products through Hong Kong

The General Administration of Customs has recently issued a notice to announce the enhanced origin management on the import of broiler products or chicken products through Hong Kong. With effect from 1 September 2011, apart from submitting the required documents for the import of non-US origin broiler products or chicken products (tariff codes: 02071100, 02071200, 02071311, 02071319, 02071321, 02071329, 02071411, 02071419, 02071421, 02071422, 02071429 and 05040021) through Hong Kong, a confirmation certificate issued by the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department is required to be provided. A copy of the notice is attached at Appendix (pdf format) for reference.
