Commercial Information Circular No. 24/2009

India : Final Findings on Anti-Dumping Investigations involving imports of Digital Versatile Discs (DVD) - Recordable from the Mainland of China, Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei

Traders were informed vide Commercial Information Circular Nos. 445/2007 and 394/2008 on the initiation of anti-dumping investigation and the imposition of provisional anti-dumping duty by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India on imports of Digital Versatile Discs - Recordable from the Mainland of China, Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei.

DETAILS

  1. India has issued the Final Findings of the case, in which it has recommended imposition of definitive anti-dumping duty on the subject goods. The Final Findings are available at : <http://commerce.nic.in/writereaddata/traderemedies/

  2. Salient points are set out below :
(a) Date of Issue 19 November 2008
(b) Product Coverage Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) - Recordable of all kinds, including DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW, etc. India's Customs Classification No.8523.
(c) Rate of Definitive Anti-Dumping Duty on Imports originating in or exported from Hong Kong 

Rate of Definitive Anti-Dumping Duty on Imports originating in or exported from the Mainland China

Rate of Definitive Anti-Dumping Duty on Imports originating in or exported from Chinese Taipei

US$66.72 per 1000 pieces

 

US$68.11 per 1000 pieces

 

US$65.63 per 1000 pieces

(d) Effective Date The date of imposition of provisional anti-dumping duty, i.e. 23 July 2008
