The Mainland of China : Processing Trade Policy on Raw Hides and Skins
The Ministry of Commerce (MOC), the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and the General Administration of Customs (GAC) announced on 2 March 2009 adjustments to processing trade policy on raw hides and skins, including conditions for allowing/prohibiting import of raw hides and skins for processing trade, assessment of raw hides and skins processing trade enterprises, and quantity control on raw hides and skins processing trade enterprises and imports, etc, which took effect from the day of promulgation. The "Notice on Issues Concerning Processing Trade Policy on Raw Hides and Skins" jointly issued by MOC, GAC and the State Environmental Protection Administration (Notice No. 390/2006), Notice No. 63/2006 jointly issued by MOC, GAC and the State Environmental Protection Administration, and the "Notice on Raw Hides and Skins Processing Trade Import Enterprises and Quantity" (Notice No. 65/2006) were repealed at the same time.
