The Mainland of China : Law of the People's Republic of China on Food Safety
The Eleventh Standing Committee of the National People's Congress passed on 28 February 2009 the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Food Safety" (the Law), which will take effect from 1 June 2009. The Law governs food safety standard, production and operation, inspection, import and export, and supervision and management, etc. A copy of the Law is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
