Commercial Information Circular No. 458/2008
The Mainland of China : Administrative Measures on the Manifest for Cross Border Transportation by the Customs
The Department has informed the trade vide Commerce Information Circular No. 212/2008 dated 3 April 2008 of the "Administrative Measures on the Manifest for Cross Border Transportation by the Customs of the People's Republic of China"
(http://www.tid.gov.hk/english/aboutus/tradecircular/cic/asia/2008/ci2122008.html). The new arrangements set out in the "Administrative Measures" will take effect in phases starting 1 January 2009, and are applicable to the logistic and transportation industries in Hong Kong. If the trade has any enquiries on the "Administrative Measures", they may send their enquiries to the Transport and Housing Bureau of the HKSAR Government on or before 23 September 2008 by fax at 2523 0030. The HKSAR Government will relay the enquiries to the General Administration of Customs.
