The Mainland of China : Opinions Concerning Relocation of Industries to
Hunan Province
Hunan Province has recently issued the "Opinions of the People's Government of Hunan Province on Promoting Relocation of Industries to and Facilitating the Development of Processing Trade in the Province". According to the document, Hunan will strive for increasing the proportion of processing trade in its exports and relocation of industries to the Province. For this purpose, it will implement a number of measures including setting up funds to assist and encourage projects promoting relocation of industries and facilitating development of processing trade; strengthening development of logistic centres and customs facilities at the ports; ensuring apportionment of land for relocated industries; and streamlining the approval and administrative procedures for investment projects relating to relocation, etc. Full text of the document is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
