The
Mainland of China : Notice Concerning the Prepayment of Corporate Income Tax by Property and Real Estate Development Enterprises
The State Administration of Taxation has issued a notice recently announcing the estimated profit margins and related details applicable to the prepayment of corporate income tax by resident taxpayers engaged in property and real estate development. The notice has taken effect from 1 January 2008. For foreign-invested property and real estate development enterprises which have prepaid the corporate income tax according to the original estimated profit margins, the notice would be implemented from the second quarter of the year.
