The Mainland of China : Opinions on Supporting Relocation of Processing Trade Operations to the Central and Western Regions
The Ministry of Commerce promulgated certain opinions concerning relocation of processing trade operations to the central and western regions of the Mainland on 22 November 2007. It sets out the main industries targeted for relocation, the areas and means of support from the Mainland government, the application criteria and procedures for local region to be recognized as the key recipient for relocation of processing trade operations, and the 9 places which have been already recognized as such. A copy of the opinions is attached at Appendix (pdf format) for reference.
