The Mainland of China : Third Supplement to the "Provisions on Foreign-invested Civil Aviation Enterprises"
In accordance with the Supplement IV to the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement, the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, the Ministry of Commerce and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly promulgated the third supplement to the "Provisions on Foreign-invested Civil Aviation Enterprises" on 12 October 2007. With effect from 1 January 2008, the Mainland will allow Hong Kong service suppliers to set up joint venture enterprises with Mainland Computer Reservation System (CRS) service suppliers, with the Mainland side having majority shareholding. Licences for the setting up of such joint venture enterprises are subject to economic needs test. A copy of the Third Supplement is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
