The Mainland of China : Law on Employment Promotion
The Tenth Standing Committee of the National People's Congress passed the "Law on Employment Promotion" on 30 August 2007, which will take effect from 1 January 2008. According to the Law, the Mainland will promote employment through various means, including provision of policy support and promotion of equal employment opportunities. It will also provide support services to the labour force, e.g. education and professional training, financial assistances, etc. A copy of the Law is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
