The
Mainland of China : Export Ban on Natural Sand
The Ministry of Commerce
and the General Administration of Customs jointly issued a notice on 14
December 2006 announcing the resumption of export ban on natural sand
with effect from 1 March 2007. While there will be separate arrangements
for export of natural sand to Hong Kong, Macao and the Taiwan region,
the ban stipulated in the notice will apply to export of natural sand
to these regions before the announcement of the arrangements. A copy of
the notice is attached at Appendix (pdf
format) for reference.
