Commercial Information Circular No. 110/2007
The Mainland of China : Administrative Provisions on Classification of
Import and Export Goods
The General Administration of Customs promulgated the "Administrative Provisions on Classification of Import and Export Goods" on 2 March 2007, which will take effect from 1 May 2007. According to the Provisions, trading enterprises can apply to pre-classification of goods with the local Customs authorities 45 days before the actual import or export takes place. A copy of the Provisions is attached at Appendix (pdf format) for reference. Its annexes can be downloaded from the website of the General Administration of Customs at:
