The
Mainland of China : Second Supplementary Provisions to the Interim Provisions Concerning Foreign-invested Cinemas
According to the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Culture promulgated the Second Supplementary Provisions to the Interim Provisions Concerning Foreign-invested Cinemas on 18 January 2006, which will take effect from 20 February 2006. With effect from 1 January 2006, Hong Kong service suppliers are permitted to establish wholly-owned companies in the Mainland, each of which may construct or renovate more than one cinema theatre at more than one location for the operation of film screening business.
