The Mainland of China : Notice Concerning the Implementation
of Compulsory Product Certification for Certain Toy Products
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Certification and Accreditation Administration jointly issued a notice on 30 December 2005 concerning the implementation of compulsory product certification for certain toy products. With effect from 1 June 2007, toy products listed in the catalogue attached to the notice will be subject to compulsory product certification. Such products have to obtain certificates issued by the authorised certification agencies and have the certification mark applied before they can be sold, marketed, imported or used for commercial purposes. A copy of the notice is attached at Appendix (pdf format) for reference.
