The Mainland of China : Information on Recycled Economy by the Guangdong Province
The Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Congress passed on 22 March 2006 the "Measures on the Promotion of Recycled Economy for the Shenzhen Municipality", which will effect from 1 July 2006. The Measures govern the planning, implementation and promotion of recycled economy in the Shenzhen Municipality. A copy of the Measures is at Annex 1 (pdf format) for reference.
- In addition, the Economic and Trade Committee of Guangdong Province promulgated the "Pilot Implementation Plan of Recycled Economy in the Guangdong Province", which stipulates that pilot implementation of recycled economy will be launched at the 3 levels of enterprise, development zone and city simultaneously from 2006 to 2010 and that Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, Jiangmen and Shantou have been chosen as the pilot cities. It also sets out the5 main target areas on recycled economy, including energy saving, pollution prevention and cleaner production.
