Commercial Information Circular No. 35/2005

The Mainland of China : Administrative Measures on Inspection,
Quarantine and Supervision of Imported Fruit

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) promulgated "Administrative Measures on Inspection, Quarantine and Supervision of Imported Fruit" on 5 January 2005, which will take effect on 5 July 2005. The Measures stipulate the requirements on safety and hygiene of import fruit, sanitary requirements for consignment transited through Hong Kong and Macao, requirements on information and contents to be marked on the package and provided in the phytosanitary certificate issued by the exporting country, etc. A copy of the Measures is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
