Dear Sirs,

The Ministry of Commerce issued Notice No. 10/2004 on 31 March 2004, announcing the initiation of anti-dumping investigation against imports of unbleached kraft liner/linerboard from the United States, Thailand, the Republic of Korea and the Taiwan Province. The relevant tariff codes of the General Administration of Customs are 4804 3100, 4804 4100, 4804 5100, 4805 2400 and 4805 2500.

2. Interested parties may approach the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports and the Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation of the Ministry of Commerce to participate in the defence of anti-dumping and industry injury investigation respectively within 20 days from the date of the announcement (i.e. 31 March 2004). In the applications to the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports, the interested parties should submit information about the quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland during the period 1 January 2003 - 31 December 2003. In the applications to the Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation, the interested parties should submit information about their manufacturing capacity, production volume, inventory level, quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland, as well as the details of any expansion plans during the period 1 January 2001 - 31 December 2003.
