Commercial Information Circular No. 80/2004

The Mainland of China :Provisional Registration Scheme Concerning
Waste Material Imports

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) decided to implement a provisional registration scheme on overseas suppliers exporting waste materials to the Mainland of China. The AQSIQ has been receiving applications for registration from suppliers since 1 January 2004. From 1 July 2004, waste materials exported from suppliers not registered with AQSIQ will not be allowed to enter the Mainland. The relevant notice is attached at Annex for reference.
