The
Mainland of China : Rules on the Administration of Insurance Agency
The China Insurance
Regulatory Commission (CIRC) promulgated the "Rules on the Administration
of Insurance Agency" on 1 December 2004, which will come into force
on 1 January 2005. The Rules govern the setting-up of insurance agencies
and the administration of a qualification system for insurance agents,
etc. A copy of the Rules is attached at Annex
(pdf format), and the relevant forms can be downloaded at CIRC's website
at http://www.circ.gov.cn/policy/list_detail.asp?Auto_ID=240 (available
in Chinese only).
