Commercial Information Circular No. 359/2004

The Mainland of China : Notice on the Issuance of Automatic Import Licence
 in Place of Import Quota for Automobile

In accordance with China's commitment to the World Trade Organization during accession, the Mainland will uplift the import quota administration on automobile from 1 January 2005. Automobile import will then be subject to automatic import licensing administration. In this connection, the Ministry of Commerce promulgated the "Notice on the Issuance of Automatic Import Licence in Place of Import Quota for Automobile" on 28 December 2004. A copy of the Notice is attached at Annex  for reference.
