The Mainland of China : Review of Anti-dumping Measures against Imports of 
Bioriented Stretching Polyester Film (BOPET) from the Republic of Korea

The Ministry of Commerce issued Notice No. 84/2004 on 28 December 2004, announcing the initiation of review of the anti-dumping measures against imports of bioriented stretching polyester film (BOPET) from the Republic of Korea. The relevant tariff code of the General Administration of Customs is 3920 6200.

  1. Interested parties may approach the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports and the Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation of the Ministry of Commerce to participate in the defence of anti-dumping and industry injury investigation respectively within 20 days from the date of the announcement (i.e. 28 December 2004). In the applications to the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports, the interested parties should submit information about the quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland and other markets during the period 1 January 2004 - 31 December 2004. In the applications to the Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation, the interested parties should submit information about their manufacturing capacity, production volume, inventory level, quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland and other markets, as well as the details of any construction and expansion plans during the period 1 January 2000 - 31 December 2004.   1. During the review period, anti-dumping duties on imports of BOPET from the Republic of Korea continue to apply. For details, please refer to our CIC No. 116/00 dated 2 September 2000.
