Dear Sirs,
Commercial Information Circular No. 310/2004
The Mainland of China : Final Ruling on Anti-dumping Investigation Against Imports of Chloroform (CHCl3) from the European Union, the Republic of Korea, the United States and India
The Ministry of Commerce issued Notice No. 81/2004 on 30 November 2004, announcing the final ruling on anti-dumping investigation against imports of chloroform (CHCl3) from the European Union, the Republic of Korea, the United States and India. The relevant tariff code of the General Administration of Customs is 2903 1300.
ANTI-DUMPING MEASURE
- The ruling confirmed that dumping existed regarding the investigated products originated in the European Union, the Republic of Korea, the United States and India, and that such dumping had caused material injury to the domestic industry. As a result, the Mainland had decided to impose anti-dumping duties, range from 32% to 96% on imports of chloroform from the above regions. The anti-dumping measure would be in place for 5 years from 30 November 2004.
- For details of the initiation of the anti-dumping investigation and the preliminary finding of the case, please refer to our CIC No. 158/2003 dated 30 May 2003 and CIC No. 90/2004 dated 14 April 2004 respectively.
