Commercial Information Circular No. 285/2004

India : Initiation of Sunset Review regarding Anti-dumping duty imposed on Polystyrene originating in or exported from Hong Kong

Further to Commercial Information Circulars No.75/99 of 14 May 1999, No.76/99 of 20 May 1999, No.159/99 of 16 October 1999 and No.44/00 of 3 April 2000, the Department has been informed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India that they have initiated a sunset review regarding Anti-dumping duty imposed on Polystyrene originating in or exported from Hong Kong.

  1. A copy of the notice (pdf format) intiating the review is appended to this circular for reference. Details are as follows:

(a) Date of Notice : 15 October 2004;
(b) Product :  Polystyrene falling under Sub-heading 3903.19.
(c) Period : The period subject to investigation is 1 April 2003 to 31 March 2004.
(d) Procedures : In order to obtain necessary information for the investigation, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India will send questionnaires to the affected exporters.

The affected exportors and other interested parties may make their views known in writing, provide supporting evidence within 40 days from 15 October 2004.
