Dear Sirs,
Commercial
Information Circular No. 225/2004
The
Mainland of China : Review
Arbitration on Suspension of Anti-dumping Measures Against Imports of
Cold-rolled Steel Products from Russia, the Republic of Korea, Ukraine,
Kazakhstan and the Taiwan Province
The Ministry of
Commerce issued Notice No. 53/2004 on 10 September 2004, announcing
the result of the review arbitration on suspension of anti-dumping measures
against imports of cold-rolled steel products from Russia, the Republic
of Korea, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the Taiwan Province.
- The Ministry
of Commerce ruled that, in view of the substantial changes in the
international market situations and the shortage of cold-rolled steel
products in the Mainland of China, there was no need to continue the
imposition of anti-dumping duties against imports of cold-rolled steel
products from Russia, the Republic of Korea, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and
the Taiwan Province. The Mainland has suspended the collection of
such anti-dumping duties since 10 September 2004.
- For details of
the final ruling and the arrangements on imposition of anti-dumping
duties of the subject case, please refer to our CIC Nos. 242/2003
dated 24 September 2003 and 17/2004 dated 14 January 2004 respectively.
