The Mainland of China :Safeguard Measures on Imports of Certain Steel Products
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) announced the imposition of safeguard measures on imports of non alloy hot rolled sheets and coils, non alloy cold rolled sheets and coils, organic coated sheets, silicon-electrical steel and stainless cold rolled sheets and coils for a period of 3 years on 19 November 2002. The MOFTEC recently announced that interested parties might submit applications for adjustment of the scope of steel products subject to the safeguard measures during the period 13 January 2003 to 13 March 2003, vide its Notice No. 2/03 dated 13 January 2003.

Applications should follow the requirements and format of the application form as attached at Annex. They should be submitted to the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports of MOFTEC within the designated period. Contact details of the Bureau are as follows-
