Commercial Information Circular No.233/02

Singapore :Registration to Import Processed Food Products & Foodwares

 

The Food Control Division (FCD) of Food & Veterinary Administration, Agri-Food & Veterinary Services (AVA) of Singapore issued a circular no. FCD 019.1 dated 12 November 2002 announcing that it would conduct a Registration Exercise to register all importers of processed food products including foodwares (excluding importers of meat & fish products & fresh fruits and vegetables).

DETAILS

 

  1. From 1 April 2003, any person in Singapore who imports processed food without registration will be deemed to have committed an offence. Upon registration, applicant will be given a Registration Number and the importer will be required to use this Registration Number in their declaration for import permits. The FCD requires all processed food importers in Singapore to submit their application with effect from 15 November 2002.
