The Mainland of China :New Tax Policy for Foreign-Funded
Enterprises in Central and Western Region
The Mainland State Administration of Taxation issued the attached notice on 8 December 1999, regarding new tax policy for foreign-funded enterprises (FFEs) in central and western region. It has been decided that income taxes will be reduced by 15% payable by those FFEs, which are operating in specific sectors being encouraged by the Mainland government. The new tax cut will take effect after the end of the current FFEs' favourable tax terms, and for a period of three years.
- The effective date of the notice is 1 January 2000.
